About Dudley and George H. Dodge
Dudley Dodge (24 May 1773-30 Oct 1834) operated a general store in Hampton Falls,
N.H., marrying Betsy Fifield in 1796. It is assumed that the ledger was continued
after his death by his son George Hubbard Dodge (1807– February 14, 1862), whose
name also appears on the inside cover.
