I like being outdoors engaged in gardening, hiking, canoeing, camping, bird watching, photography, and fly fishing, the last of which I consider a work-related malady. Always have a bag packed, ready to travel.

Using archives and special collections in the classroom, information literacy, U.S. Civil War, New Orleans history and culture, and fly fishing.
