About the Robert Frost Youth Poet Program
The Robert Frost Youth Poet Program was begun in 1997 to provide New Hampshire fourth grade students in public and private schools the opportunity to express their feelings about New Hampshire in a poem in the hope that it will increase appreciation of the state’s natural and cultural resources and also encourage students to discover the poet in themselves. The program is sponsored by the Robert Frost Farm in Derry, New Hampshire and supported by an endowment from the Finisterre Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
About the Robert Frost Youth Poet Program Collection
The Robert Frost Youth Poet Program collection consists of poems written by New Hampshire fourth graders from 1997 until 2009. The collection arrangement is first by year and then by county, with a list of winners usually at the end.
