About Odiorne Point State Park:

Odiorne Point State Park consists of 137 acres of protected shoreline near Rye Beach, New Hampshire. The park is one of the few remaining areas in the state where the public can observe intertidal life, geological formations, a salt marsh, and even a drowned forest. The creation of Odiorne Point State Park is largely the result of efforts by Annette B. Cottrell (studies coordinator of the Park) who has been active in a number of conservation projects in New Hampshire.

About the Odiorne Point State Park Collection:

The collection consists of notes, correspondence, and meeting minutes concerned with the establishment of the park and coordination of educational programs utilizing the park. The collection covers the period 1963-90. Annette Cottrell’s enlistment of the Audubon Society of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Charitable Fund is also documented. There are also drafts and published studies on various natural features of the park.
