Collection number: MS 206

Size: 1 oversize item (0.20 cu.ft.)

About Dudley and George H. Dodge

Dudley Dodge operated a general store in Hampton Falls, N.H. He died there in 1834 at the age of 62. It is assumed that the ledger was continued after his death by his son George H., whose name also appears on the inside cover.

About the Dudley and George H. Dodge Ledger

The ledger records a great variety of business transactions, including legal, general stores, boarding, rent of a horse and buggy, travel, labor, making pantaloons, produce, lumber, cord wood, butchering, bartering – a little of everything – between the years 1820 and 1843.
