Windows 7
- Click the "Start" button, then select "Control Panel".
- Click "Network and Internet".
- Under "Network and Sharing Center", select "Connect to a network".
- Select "unhwireless", check the box that says to "Connect Automatically", and then click "Connect".
- If "unhwireless" is not listed:
- Click "Setup a New Connection or Network".
- Select "Manually Connect to a Wireless Network".
- Enter Network Name (SSID): "unhwireless".
- Security type should be "No Authentication (Open)".
- Data encryption (WEP Enabled) should be blank.
- Security Key should be blank.
- Check off "Start this Connection Automatically".
- Click "OK" until all windows are closed.
- Start a web browser to confirm connectivity.
Windows XP, 2000
- Click the "Start" button, then choose "Control Panel".
- Click "Network and Internet Connections" or "Network Connections".
- Click "Wireless Connections" and then "Properties".
- Under the "General" tab, click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and then click "Properties".
- Confirm that "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected.
- Click "OK" to close this window.
- Click the "Wireless Networks" tab, select "unh wireless".
- If "unh wireless" is not listed:
- Click "add".
- Enter Network Name (SSID): "unh wireless".
- Data encryption (WEP Enabled) should be unchecked.
- Network Authentication (Shared mode) should be unchecked.
- This is a computer-to-computer network should be unchecked.
- Click "OK" until all windows are closed.
- Start a web browser to confirm connectivity.
