What is EndNote?

EndNote enables you to:

  • search and retrieve records from remote catalogs and databases
  • create, store and manage references
  • automatically create and format bibliographies in a chosen style

EndNote comes with hundreds of bibliographic styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, Vancouver) for formatting your citations.

Where can I get EndNote?

EndNote is available for both Windows and Macintosh platforms at the UNH Computer Store. A free 30-day trial version of the software can be downloaded from Endnote's corporate site.

How can I connect to the library's databases in EndNote?

EndNote uses connection files that allow you to connect to many of the library's databases.

Connection files with the library's passwords for EBSCOhost and ISI Web of Science can be downloaded for use by UNH students, faculty, and staff through our Blackboard site, EndNote@UNH. Look under the Orgs & Depts tab and search for "EndNote" in Organization Search, or on the Library tab on your Blackboard page.
