The Assistant Producer for the UNH Library manages the marketing and promotion of the Library, including publications, promotional materials, and communications, using writing, web communications, and social media skills. S/he develops and coordinates marketing strategy and plans in collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Library Administration. This is a temporary (one year), part-time position.
The Assistant Producer produces marketing materials that reflect the UNH brand and coordinates the development and production of internal and external promotional materials (e.g. brochures, annual report) and communications. This original content may include (but is not limited to) video, photography, text, illustrations, animations, and audio. The Assistant Producer will work with college/university departments (e.g. Advancement) to promote Library resources and services, develop social media strategies, distribute content via multiple vehicles including but not limited to the website, mobile app, and print. The Assistant Producer collaborates with fellow producers in the Library, Communications and Public Affairs as well as student workers. Participates, as appropriate, in central activities sponsored by Communications and Public Affairs.
- With the Library Publicity Group, develop, manage and execute marketing plans and social media strategies; monitor and contribute to external social media sites and outlets.
- In consultation with Assistant Dean, evaluate marketing efforts for effectiveness. Research best practices in academic library marketing and promotional strategies and make recommendations for changes in methods and materials, including recommendations regarding social media tools, sites, and applications.
- Coordinate appropriate marketing events for the Library.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Salary is commensurate with experience. This position is 50% time and is non-benefited.
