UNH Traditional Jazz Series presents the Fred Buda Quintet on Monday, November 4

The UNH Traditional Jazz Series presents the Fred Buda Quintet on Monday, November 4 at 8pm in the Johnson Theater at the Paul Creative Arts Center.

General admission tickets are $8 each and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets are available at the UNH Paul Creative Arts Center Ticket Office and at the door one hour prior to the performance. You may also order tickets online or call 862-PCAC (7222).

Fred Buda is a retired drum set player for the Boston Pops after 35+ years. He has been heard on countless recordings and been seen on televised programs swinging the Boston Pops under the baton of Arthur Fiedler, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart. An alumnus of the Herb Pomeroy Big Band, Buda leads the Jazz Pops All-Stars Ensemble and Jazz Pops Swing Ensemble.

Buda is also a retired principal timpanist for the Boston Ballet Orchestra, and now serves as the new personnel manager for the Boston Ballet. He is the supervisor of orchestral personnel for the Wang Center for the Performing Arts and the Shubert Theatre in Boston, MA. (Zildjian)

The Traditional Jazz Concert Series is co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Library of Traditional Jazz. The library, established in 1978 by Dorothy Prescott, comprises books, recordings, and memorabilia and is housed in Dimond Library. Prescott’s generous endowment funds its activities including the Traditional Jazz Series concerts.
