The University is implementing a new VPN (virtual private network) service called Connect VPN. While this VPN service is easy to use, it is currently incompatible with our system of authenticating users for off-campus access to our electronic resources and some services.
The Library IT team is working with UNH IT to come up with a solution to this issue. In the meantime, we suggest one of the two following methods for successfully accessing the Library’s electronic resources or our interlibrary loan system (ILLiad):
- Avoid using the VPN to connect to the Library while off-campus. Access databases, electronic journals, electronic books, and interlibrary loan through the Library’s website and authenticate with your UNH username and password.
- If you must use the VPN to access other UNH resources and want to access Library resources at the same time, please use the Faculty/Staff VPN located at vpn.unh.edu. This is the older VPN system and it still works with off-campus access to library resources.
