New Weekend Hours
Last spring's LibQUAL+ survey demonstrated that the
greatest dissatisfaction among students were the Library's weekend hours.
Therefore, from November 29th to December 10th, the Library ran a small survey on
Blackboard to query students (primarily) and others about the weekend
hours Dimond Library should be open to best serve their needs. Their
choices and the results are:
- Keep hours the same: 282 votes (25.38%)
- Close earlier on Friday, open earlier on Sunday morning: 490 votes (44.1%)
- Close earlier on Saturday, open earlier on Sunday: 339 votes (30.51%)
Therefore, effective next semester, Dimond Library weekend hours will be:
- Friday 8:00 am 6:00 pm
- Saturday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
- Sunday 10:00 am - midnight
