Library Welcomes Meg Eastwood

Posted December 11, 2015

We warmly welcome Assistant Professor Meg Eastwood as our new Life Sciences & Agriculture Librarian. Prior to joining us, she was an Engineering, Forestry, and Natural Sciences Librarian at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.

Between getting a B.A. in Biology from Grinnell College in 2005 and an M.S. in Information Studies from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012, Meg spent several years working as a biology research assistant. She worked on projects in Honduras, on Mt Lemmon in Arizona, on the coast of northern California, and more. One of her favorite jobs was here in the Seacoast NH area, at UNH’s own Shoals Marine Lab.

Meg’s academic interests include finding efficient ways to share and archive scientific data – one big challenge here is including enough metadata to allow future researchers to understand how the data were collected.

She is looking forward to providing research and instruction help to the students and faculty in Life Sciences & Agriculture.

Meg can be reached by phone (603) 862-1532 or email.
