The two most recent New Hampshire Authors’ Series events — the Mekeel McBride and Tomie DePaola interviews with Rebecca Rule — will be broadcast on NHPTV. The dates are Monday, June 18th at 8:00 (McBride) and 8:30 (DePaola) and again on Sunday, June 24th at 6:00 (McBride) and 6:30 (DePaola). NHPTV also provides access to the interviews online.
Tomie DePaola is an award-winning children’s book author and illustrator. The DePaola interview event was held in Dimond Library on Sunday, January 28. Mekeel McBride has published six books of poetry and is a faculty member in the UNH English department. The McBride event was held Sunday, April 22.
The New Hampshire Authors’ Series is produced by NHPTV in partnership with the Friends of the UNH Library and UNH Video Services.

New Hampshire’s poets, novelists and authors talk with writer and humorist Rebecca Rule in a series of one-on-one conversations before audiences at the University of New Hampshire’s Dimond Library.
The New Hampshire Authors’ Series is produced by NHPTV in partnership with the Friends of the UNH Library and UNH Video Services.
After broadcast, NHPTV provides access to the spots online.

The most recent New Hampshire Authors’ Series program (Becky Rule interviewing Seacoast New Hampshire mystery writer, Brendan DuBois) will be shown on New Hampshire Public TV on Friday, December 22nd at 10:30 p.m. (after Masterpiece Theatre) and again on Thursday, December 28th at 9:30 p.m. (before Frontline). Be sure to tune in!

Tomie DePaola will talk with Becky Rule on Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 p.m. on Level Five in Dimond Library on the UNH Campus and the event will again be taped for future broadcast on NHPTV. For more information, or to register!

Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Charles Simic talks one-on-one with Yankee humorist, book reviewer and author Rebecca Rule. Simic has been a professor of English at UNH for more than 30 years. He’s published more than 60 books, including “Charon’s Cosmology,” which was nominated for a National Book Award, and “The World Doesn’t End: Prose Poems,” which won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry. He’s also received a MacArthur Fellowship, the American Academy of Poets Edgar Allen Poe Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship and two grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. In 2003 he was awarded the international Horst Bienek Prize for Poetry.
