To better protect your personal information, we have converted all UNH faculty and staff to use the new UNH ID Number instead of your Social Security Number for access to Library systems.
Students, faculty, and staff should all now use their new UNH ID Number when renewing or requesting items and creating new accounts for Interlibrary Loan.
To find out your UNH ID number, please login to Blackboard, and use the UNH ID Lookup service.
Faculty and staff who previously used a code for authentication will find it does not work. These personal codes will be restored within 24 hours. Also, faculty and staff who previously requested an alternate ID number, which began with 930, have been assigned a new UNH ID Number. The previous alternate ID is no longer valid.
If you have any problems using your new UNH ID Number to access library resources, please contact the Dimond Library Circulation Desk at 862-3125.

The Virtual Catalog provides a searchable catalog of books owned by participating libraries of the Boston Library Consortium.
Originally scheduled for July 15, the rollout of a new Virtual Catalog has been delayed, unfortunately, as we work with the Boston Library Consortium and their software vendor to resolve some critical problems.
We hope to have the Virtual Catalog return by the fall semester renamed as the Boston Library Consortium Catalog. When a firm date is available, we will post another announcement.
In the meantime, please use Interlibrary Loan to request materials unavailable at the UNH Library. Manchester students should request using the UNH-M Library website.
Thank you for your patience as we upgrade to a much improved search interface and requesting system. If you have questions or concerns, please comment here or contact the Loan Desk at 862-3125.

We’ve completed the conversion of library systems to use the new UNH ID numbers for students.
Students should now use their new UNH ID number when renewing or requesting items, logging into the Virtual Catalog, and creating new accounts for interlibrary loan. To find out your UNH ID number, please login to Blackboard, and use the UNH ID Lookup.
If you have any problems using your new student ID to access library resources, please contact the Loan Desk at 862-3125.
Faculty and staff should continue to use their social security number. Those who have selected an alternate ID number can continue to use this. To request an alternate ID number, please contact the Loan Desk or at the number above.
All UNH faculty, staff, and students will be issued new UNH ID cards in mid-July. These cards will be necessary for accessing university facilities and services. For the library however, these new cards are not required to check out materials, as the barcode on the card back will remain the same.
As always, definitive information on the conversion process can be found at the site for the University of New Hampshire Student ID Replacement Project.

Due to some hardware reorganization, our interlibrary loan server will be taken down at approximately 10:30pm this Friday, March 6. We anticipate the downtime to be about four hours. During this time, interlibrary loan requests and account access will be unavailable.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
