Passes for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston are available for benefits-eligible Faculty and Staff. They may be taken out from the Loan Desk of Dimond Library on Level 3 (Main Level). Reservations may be taken up to two weeks ahead of time. Two cards may be reserved and checked out by one person. However, if, on the day of use, other cards are not reserved, you may sign out up to 4 cards to one person. Passes may be picked up after 4:30pm prior to the day of use and must be returned as soon as possible after use. The passes are subject to availability, naturally.

Students can use their UNH IDs for free admission to the MFA as well.

Both programs apply only to general admission when an advance ticket is not required and do not apply for special exhibits.

Group study areas are always in high demand here in the library. In Current Periodicals and Newspapers, library staff have consolidated several shelves of journals to make room for more group study space. Tables from the Microforms Room have been moved into the space and are available for use.

Current Periodicals and Newspapers is located on Level 2.

Questions or comments can be sent to the Periodicals supervisor.

Not having to use the Microforms room has been bragging rights among new researchers to UNH, because microforms can seem intimidating.

The Library has come up with a way to help calm those fears. Microforms is now home to two new computers that can be used to make scans to PDF.

If the Microform is in good condition (not a lot of scratches and readable text), the Adobe Acrobat software can even do optical character recognition (OCR), so the text can be searchable and cut and pasted into other applications.

The scans can be saved to a USB flashdrive, emailed, burned to CD, or even sent up to the networked printers at Reference on Level 3 for Cats Cache printing at half the cost.

For more information, contact the Microforms supervisor or stop by Microforms on Level 2.
