As an early gift to the faculty and staff from Claudia Morner, Dean of the Library, we are all going home early on Friday 12/22. Dimond library will close at 3:30pm, but please check the hours page shortened hours of Departments in Dimond and all the Branch Libraries as some will close earlier.

The most recent New Hampshire Authors’ Series program (Becky Rule interviewing Seacoast New Hampshire mystery writer, Brendan DuBois) will be shown on New Hampshire Public TV on Friday, December 22nd at 10:30 p.m. (after Masterpiece Theatre) and again on Thursday, December 28th at 9:30 p.m. (before Frontline). Be sure to tune in!

At the Winter Solstice by Jane Kenyon
Two poets, Donald Hall and his wife, Jane Kenyon (d. 1995), and two distinct accounts of the same event, the annual Christmas pageant at the South Danbury (N.H.) Church. Both Hall and Kenyon served as Poet Laureate of New Hampshire and in October 2006, Donald Hall became Poet Laureate of the United States. The Milne Special Collections and Archives Department of the UNH Library maintains the correspondence and literary manuscripts of both poets.
