
The new Dimond Academic Commons (DAC) Express Quick Printing Station allows you to print documents even during busy times in Dimond Library.
The station is a standard cluster computer located in Dimond Library next to the printers on Level 3 (Main Level). Use is limited to five minutes to ensure its availability for others.
The Dimond Academic Commons combines physical and virtual resources in an attractive and comfortable environment where students, faculty, and staff can meet and interact, working collaboratively or alone. It merges academic and technical resources and offers the support of expert faculty and staff from Dimond Library and Computing and Information Services (CIS).

The library is pleased to announce that Zeke’s Café is now open!
Zeke’s Café is conveniently located in room 408 of Dimond Library, one flight up from the main entrance. The Café will offer fair trade coffee and tea, bakery treats, snacks, sandwiches and wraps. See a menu.
Open until midnight Sunday through Thursday, there’s always a good time to take a break. Café hours:
- Mon-Thur 7:30am-Midnight
- Fri 7:30am-6:00pm
- Sat 11:00am-4:00pm
- Sun 11:00am-Midnight
Please join us on Tuesday, October 16, for the ribbon cutting for the new Dimond Academic Commons!
The ceremony begins at 1pm in the foyer of Dimond Library with President Mark Huddleston, Provost Bruce Mallory, Vice President Dick Cannon and Student Body President Richard Drenkhahn Jr. This will be followed by informal tours to stations in the Dimond Academic Commons (DAC) where there will be plenty of refreshments.
We will also be raffling off:
- A $250 Computer Store Gift Certificate (donated by CIS)
- A $250 Barnes & Noble Gift Certificate (donated by Barnes & Noble)
- Two $25 Dining Gift Cards (donated by University Hospitality)
- Two “Brunch for Four” at the New England Center (donated by University Hospitality)
- An eTrex Legend HCx handheld GPS unit and a DeLorme NH Atlas and Gazetteer (donated by the UNH Library and Government Information)

The new IT Support Center (ITSC) has opened on the Main Floor of Dimond Library! The ITSC has replaced CIS’s Walk In Services and has a friendly staff to help connect to the UNH network, repair damaged files, scan documents and images and much more.
The ITSC is one component of the Dimond Academic Commons (DAC) located on Level 3 (Main Level), Dimond Library. DAC provides “one-stop shopping” for students to get help with their academic work including using library resources and consulting help with computer, communications, and phone questions. Faculty and staff can also get assistance with research and information technology issues.
The Dimond Academic Commons ITSC has friendly staff to help you:
- Clean viruses and spyware from your laptop
- Learn how to stay virus- and spyware-free
- Get connected – including wireless
- Use Blackboard
- Use Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
- Repair damaged files
- Drop off exam-scan test sheets & surveys
- Fix computer account problems and re-set passwords
- Scan documents & images
- Set up your laptop to print to the library printers
- Access UNH telephone customer service

The Dimond Academic Commons (DAC) will open on Level Three of the Dimond Library for the fall academic semester. DAC will combine physical and virtual resources in an attractive and comfortable environment where students, faculty, and staff can meet and interact, working individually or collaboratively. It will merge technological and academic resources in one location and offer the support of expert faculty and staff from Dimond Library and CIS with opportunities to add student services from other University departments in the future. These faculty, staff and services will enable responding to students’ and faculty’s teaching and learning needs, and changes in academic technology.
The DAC IT Support Center (ITSC), located adjacent to Dimond 343, will provide a range of computer and network services. The ITSC will combine the services of several CIS departments in one convenient location including the Call Center, Walk-In Services, ResNet, and the Student Computing Clusters. ResNet and Walk-In Services will be relocated from MUB 109 to Dimond Level Three.
