The Biological Sciences collection will move to its new home in Dimond Library this summer to serve as the foundation for the Natural Sciences Resource Center on Level 2. Beginning June 23, bound periodicals will be shifted to make space for the collection moving from Kendall Hall. While this transition is taking place (anticipated to be through July 16th), library users will not be able to access the collections in this area. Items can be requested through the library catalog and will be paged at 9am and 1pm Monday through Friday.
The Library's multimedia collection will be open and available during this time and the Parker Media Lab has on call hours; both can only be accessed from the West elevator (with library staff escort) or staircase. The former Current Periodicals Room and new Natural Sciences Resource Center will be available, as will the microforms collections in both Rooms 210 and 225. Public rest rooms will also be open on Level 2. For safety reasons, the stacks will be closed and library users needing print materials from the stacks on Level 2 should visit the circulation desk.
