Seasonal pop-up books in Special Collections

Special Collections has put together an exhibit to help put you in a holiday mood.

On the Main Floor (Level 3) of Dimond Library is an exhibit case of holiday pop-up books. Even more are on display in Special Collections on Level 1. Please come visit us and see the Christmas, Hanukkah, and winter-themed pop-up books from the Carel Chapman Movable Books Collection.

Interim Dean of the University Library open forum video

Video is now available from the open fora for the search for an interim Dean of the University Library. Evaluation forms are available from the Office of the Provost and are due by Monday, December 17.

Library now hiring for Spring 2013

The Library is now hiring for spring, 2013. Apply online.

Our starting rate is $7.25 an hour. We typically offer raises to students who return to work for us each academic year.

Dimond Library will be open 24 hours during finals

December 10, 2012

Dimond Library will again be open 24 hours a day during finals this semester.

Beginning Sunday, December 9, Dimond Library will be open 24 hours a day until we close at the end of finals at 5:30pm on Saturday, December 15. There will be limited services in the building during the early morning hours (2am-7:30am) each day, but most of the building will be open for study space and there will still be access to print and online materials.

Interim Dean of the University Library open forum dates

The Office of the Provost has announced three open forum dates as part of the search for an interim Dean of the University Library. All forums will be held in MUB Theater I:

  • William Ross, Wed. 12/12, 12pm-1pm
  • Elizabeth Slomba, Thurs. 12/13, 12:40pm-1:40pm
  • Annie Donahue, Thurs. 12/13, 3pm-4pm

More study space available

Rooms 339, 339A, 339B and 339C are now ready to accommodate students wishing to study in a collaborative atmosphere. Please visit the Circulation Desk for more details or call 862-3125 to reserve. These spaces will be quiet but not silent study spaces.

Participants needed for web usability testing

The Library is doing a usability test of a web site on the morning of Thursday, November 29, 2012 and we need a few participants. It will take about an hour of your time in Dimond Library.

For your participation, you will receive a Dining Services card with a value of $15, good at any Dining location on campus, or a USB flash drive.

UNH Granite Yearbook Viewable Online!

Digital Collections currently has 16 University of New Hampshire Yearbooks, "The Granite" available to either download or view online in your browser through our brand new Book Reader software. Please visit the collection and let us know what you think. And keep checking back for more yearbooks. The Book Reader software was built through a collaboration of the the UNH Library and the UNH Alumni Association.
