Call for entry, UNH student art exhibition in Dimond Library

We're happy to announce another UNH student art exhibition! This exhibit will be during spring semester in the exhibit space on Level 3 (Main Floor) in Dimond Library. It is open to all UNH students, both art and non-art majors.

This is a juried exhibit. Each artist may submit two entries. All submissions must be framed and ready to hang.

If you'd like to participate, please submit your entry form online. You will also need to send an accompanying photo to library.displays@unh.edu. Entries must be received by November 30, 2012.

UNH Library in the news: Nicholson Baker's favorite library

Dimond Library received considerable mention recently when author Nicholson Baker named it his favorite library in the world.

It’s quiet, full of blond wood, full of neatly shelved books, and in the summer very few people are there in the reading room. I find a table near an electrical outlet and sit and listen to the HVAC system blow through the building — keeping all those books cool, waiting for readers who will want them.

Upcoming Exhibit: The Literary Horse comes to UNH

The Literary Horse is a unique exhibit touring libraries which pairs photos of horses and their riders with quotes from great pieces of literature.

Mark your calendars for this upcoming exhibition hosted by the University Museum and the UNH Therapeutic Riding Program. Programming is being planned with the Durham Public Library.

The exhibit will be held at the University Museum, Dimond Library, Level 1, June 1 through June 23.
