Biological Sciences Library moves to the Natural Sciences Resource Center in Dimond Library

May 29, 2014

The Biological Sciences Library is being integrated into the Dimond Library, creating the foundation for the new Natural Sciences Resource Center. The Center will be located on Level 2 of Dimond Library in the area which was formerly the Current Periodicals Room. The Biological Sciences Library will close its doors on May 30 to prepare for the move to Dimond Library.

Once the Biological Sciences Library is closed, items housed there can be requested through the online library catalog; staff will make daily trips to Kendall Hall to bring back requested items. These items will be retrieved twice daily, Monday-Friday, and will be available for pickup at 11:00am and 3:00pm at the Dimond Library Circulation Desk.

Once the collection has been moved into the Dimond Library in early July, users will be able to browse the collection once again.

The new Natural Sciences Resource Center will offer improved services, increased hours, and more staff availability. Reference services and assistance will be available on-site, by phone, and via email, as well as in-depth research consultations and instructional sessions upon request.
