Faculty Proxies

Guidelines for faculty members interested in arranging for a proxy to borrow items on their behalf:

via E-Mail - Write an e-mail to the library from your faculty e-mail account with the word "proxy" in the subject line. Include the names of all students and/or staff who have your permission to borrow materials in your name. Please include an expiration date (the end of the student's tenure with you) with your permission.

Send the email to Dimond.Library@unh.edu.

via Letter - Write a memo, on department letterhead, to Cliff M. Poulin, Main Desk Supervisor. Include the names of all students and/or staff who have your permission to borrow books in your name. Please include an expiration date (the end of the student's tenure with you) with your permission.

Please sign the memo. You can send the memo to Cliff M. Poulin/Dimond Library via Campus Mail, or you can deliver it to the Loan Desk.

After receiving your permission, we will place a note in the computer listing the names of those you have allowed to borrow for you. Once the note is in your record, the people on your list need only present their own UNH ID when they borrow under your name.

If you wish to update your list, please send us a replacement memo.
