Renewing Multimedia Items
- Reserve items cannot be renewed.
- Non-reserve video material (VHS tapes, DVDs, and laser discs) may be renewed once on-line, in person, or over the phone. If someone has requested the item, it cannot be renewed. If a second renewal is needed, you must call the Multimedia Center (862-1756), and this will be done on a case by case basis.
- Non-reserve audiobooks and CDs may be renewed once on-line, by phone or in person. If an item has a hold on it, it may not be renewed and will be due on its original due date.
Fines and Billing
- CDs and Audiobooks
CDs that circulate for 4 weeks have a 10 day grace period.
Broadway CDs have a 2 day grace period.
Have a $5 overdue charge per item after the grace period expires.
Have an additional $20 per item charge after 3 weeks overdue.
Non-UNH patrons (alumni, residents, etc.) must pay any outstanding charges at the Circulation Desk before any more material can be borrowed.
- Videos and DVDs
Have a 3 day grace period.
Have a $5 charge per item after the grace period expires.
Have an additional $20 per item charge after 2 weeks overdue.
Non-UNH patrons (alumni, residents, etc.) must pay any outstanding charges at the Circulation Desk before any more material can be borrowed.
- Reserve items
Have a 30 minute grace period.
Are assessed $0.50/hr per item up to a maximum overdue charge of $50.
In addition, a patron may be charged the replacement cost for any non-returned item.
Non-UNH patrons (alumni, residents, etc.) must pay any outstanding charges before any more material can be borrowed.
A minumum of $5.00 is charged for any lost or damaged item.
