About the Faculty Council
The Faculty Council functioned within the university senate to serve the president in an advisory capacity, to serve as an executive committee for the consideration of urgent matters arising between meetings of the senate, to consider and act upon all matters referred to or delegated to it by the senate. Its members were made up of the president, all the deans, and two elected members from each of the colleges.
