About the Commission on Contemporary Issues
The Commission on Contemporary Issues was appointed in academic year 1967-68. The Commission was unable to meet until September 1968. The goal of the Commission was to find ways to create dialogue at UNH with respect to social crisis (civil rights and the vietnamese Conflict, among them). They also wanted to bring University resources to bear on social problems in whatever manner possible.

This series contains files pertaining to the activities of the Commission on Contemporary Issues. Primarily this series consists of files and twenty-three reel-to-reel tapes of the program, "Role of the University in Social Crisis," October 1968.
